Set in Morristown, NJ in 1779, Hard Winter explores the impact that the Revolutionary War and the military encampment of 1779-80 had on the local community. The story follows Ebenezer Bradford, a young Presbyterian minister as he struggles to minister to a local community torn apart by war. Although major figures such as George Washington and Alexander Hamilton appear on-screen briefly, most of the story focuses on actual members of the Morristown community.\n
