An award winning documentary film produced by the Morris County Historical Society in 1984. Set in Morristown, NJ in 1779, Hard Winter explores the impact that the Revolutionary War and the military encampment of 1779-80 had on the local community. The story follows Ebenezer Bradford, a young Presbyterian minister as he struggles to minister to a local community torn apart by war. Although major figures such as George Washington and Alexander Hamilton appear on-screen briefly, most of the story focuses on actual members of the Morristown community.
